2011 Seat Tribu – Official Images of Seat’s VW Tiguan Based SUV!

2011 Seat Tribu SUVOur second revelation from Seat’s future portfolio after the discovery of the design photos of the Audi A4 (B7) based Exeo Sedan and Station Wagon (see here) comes in the form of the production version of the Tribu SUV concept. Just as in the case of the Exeo, these design images were registered by Seat at the trademark office so there’s question about their authenticity. The Spanish carmaker’s first ever SUV will be heavily based on the Volkswagen Tiguan so expect the same powertrain options including 1.4 and 2.0 TSI gasoline and 2.0 TDI turbo diesel engines.

Seat Tribu SUVThe compact SUV largely follows the same styling as the Tribu 3door concept that was revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Show and although it will be initially launched as a five-door, we wouldn’t completely rule out a three-door version in the near future. When it goes on sale in Europe during the first-half of 2010, the production version of the Tribu will compete against the likes of the Honda CR-V, Renault Koleos, Opel Antara and Toyota RAV-4. –More photos after the jump

Seat Tribu Concept Update: Interior Images Revealed

Nope, we still don’t have any official information on the Tribu Concept. But we did find a set of images revealing the interior. There’s no point in saying more, so once you’ve finished checking out the pictures after the jump –like in two and a half seconds, hop over to our previous post on Seat’s Frankfurt Show crossover concept by clicking here.

Seat Tribu: Frankfurt Show Crossover Concept Breaks Cover

Someone, somehow managed to discover Seat’s Frankfurt Show star, the Tribu Concept. To our misfortune however, that someone didn’t complete the job by capturing the official release, so for the time being, you’ll have to do with our speculations. First of all, the Tribu previews a compact-size, 3door Crossover. If we were to continue speculating, we’d say that the Tribu is loosely based on a shortened version of the Tiguan platform, using the same (AWD) powertrain. But we’d better stop speculating here to avoid making a fool of ourselves if Seat comes and announces that the Tribu is like a crossover version of the upcoming Ibiza or something like that. -Continued after the jump
