Video: Top Gear Checks Out The Lamborghini Reventon

Top Gear’s hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond spend some time (1.41 min to be exact) in this clip talking about the $1.5 million Lamborghini Reventon (pics and details here). A little bit of British humor, but unfortunately, no thrills here boyz. To be produced in just 20 examples, the Murcielago LP640 based Reventon comes equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 unit delivering 650 Hp. -Video after the jump

Time Magazine: The 50 Worst Cars of All Time 1899-2007

Time’s Pulitzer Prize-winning car critic Dan Neil, has created a list with the “50 worst cars” of all time starting with the 1899 Horsey Horseless and ending with the 2004 Chevy SSR. The list is quite comprehensive including a description and a photo of each car that qualified as a “lemon”. There’s no doubt that many will either disagree with some of his choices or believe that other cars should have been added to the list.

On our behalf, what strikes us as weird is the fact that from the 50 cars included in the list, not one is Japanese or Korean. For example, why put the Fiat Multipla in the list because it’s ugly and not the SsangYong Rodius or even the Honda Element?

The bespoke software allows front seat passengers control of the system too, increasing convenience and avoiding unnecessary stops to turn the system on or change DVD. It all helps to make the journey a little more pleasant.”

2009 Hyundai Sonata Facelift Revealed!

The first official images of the redesigned Hyundai Sonata have been leaked into the net, giving us an exclusive preview prior to the car’s debut which is rumoured to be set for the L.A. Show in a couple of weeks. Since Hyundai hasn’t issued a press release yet, we’ll have to be content with what we can make from the images. The most obvious change in the 2009 Sonata’s exterior appearance is the redesigned front-end which boasts a set of larger headlights and a more “upscale” grille. Inside, the Sonata features a new centre console with vertical air-vents and a revised dashboard. -Check out all the pictures after the jump

2008 Skoda Superb Testing In Death Valley

Just like VW did with the Tiguan back in June, Skoda invited a handful of journalist to test out a development prototype of the all-new Superb in Death Valley, USA. Although initial rumors talked about a Frankfurt Show debut when uncamouflaged pictures were leaked into the net (click here), the second-generation Superb will make its first public appearance at the Geneva Show in March, 2008. -Continued after the jump

Loosely based on the platform of the VW Passat, Skoda’s new flagship model will dump the 4door sedan layout of the current Superb in favour of a 5door notchback style body. Targeted directly towards mid-size sedans like the Ford Mondeo, Opel Vectra and Renault Laguna, the new Superb will be offered with a wide range of diesel and petrol engines, including the 140Hp 1.4 TSI and 160Hp 1.8 TSI petrol units. Sales are expected to start shortly after the Geneva Show.

Street Legal Boeing 727 Jet Limo Sold On eBay!

What will they think of next (a NASA space shuttle limo maybe…)! Believe it or not, but some guy found the idea of transforming a Boeing 727 jet airplane into a humongous and utterly crazy limousine, totally reasonable. Using the chassis and running gear of a Mercedes-Benz bus, the Boeing 727 Jet Limo is street legal –or at least that’s what the ebay seller supports. Weighing in at 24,000 pounds, the Limo is equipped with a dance floor, big screen TV, fireplace, and full bar. Lazer lights, fog machine, strobe lighting and “aerodynamic seats” are also on the menu. What’s even crazier is that the Jet Limo actually found a buyer on eBay for… $275k! -Continued after the jump
