MINI Sport Coupe Rendering

Now here’s a nice idea that we wouldn’t mind at all seeing materialized by the BMW Group; a MINI Sports Coupe. It won’t cost the Bavarian carmaker a fortune to develop and we firmly believe that there’s a market for an affordable compact coupe with character on both sides of the Atlantic. MINI could also build a lightweight John Cooper Works version with over 200 Hp. -Continued after the jump

The only downside compared to the hatch would be the obliteration of the rear seats but really, who buys a MINI for its seating capabilities? Plus, you’d get more luggage space and MINI could even make a speedster version of the car. The more we think about it, the more we like this idea from the guys at CWW.

DIY: Make Α Flinstone Kid Car

Amazingly, this Flinstone toddler car is not the work of some high-end kiddy shop but it was created by a guy that goes by the nickname “Lemaster63” at the site “Instructables”. He decided to make this cool toy car at home when he learned that his grandchildren were going to dress as Pebbles and Bambam for Halloween. If you have some spare time and you don’t live in an apartment, “Lemaster63” has kindly added instructions along with photos of the process at the site “Instructables”.

Lamborghini Reventon Test Drive by Popular Science

In all honesty, when a friend pointed out this video, we were not only convinced that it was a hoax, but a badly edited one too. However, before we made a fool of ourselves, we checked it out repeatedly comparing still images of the interior with the Lamborghini Reventon pictures (click here). To our surprise, we didn’t find any flaws or details supporting that what we were seeing here wasn’t the Reventon.

But seriously now; a big magazine like Popular Science gets the chance to drive an extremely rare (20 examples) and expensive ($1.5 million) supercar like the Lamborghini Reventon and this is what they come up with – an amateur taped and edited video that most people think it’s fake? Think it’s time we started asking for test drives here at Carscoop

Jeep Outdoor Parking Campaign

Chrysler LLC has turned to the guerrilla marketing strategy to promote the Jeep brand in the city of Copenhagen in Denmark by painting parking spaces in weird places like over steps and trees. The "guerrilla marketing" concept was created by Jay Conrad Levinson and it is used to describe nontraditional, low-cost or no-cost ways of highly effective marketing, promoting, advertising, publicizing, etc. efforts. While many people might be annoyed by the fact that Jeep is telling people that they can park in pedestrian zones or up a tree, we find the campaign quite innovative and... honest -it shows the real use of 4x4s in cities… -More images after the jump

Honda CR-Z Hybrid Concept From The Tokyo Show

In our opinion, the Honda CR-Z concept (click here) was one of the most important cars that made their debut at the 2007 Tokyo Show last month. The reason is that, not only is the CR-Z Coupe heading for production, but it will also be equipped with a hybrid powertrain. You may not completely agree with Honda’s styling choices, but to us, a mainstream compact coupe with a hybrid powertrain sounds like a recipe made for success.
