SEMA: Scion xD Widebody by Five Axis Design

Now here’s a Scion xD that I wouldn’t actually mind seeing parked in my garage –well, if I had a garage, that is. The widebody kit is beautifully integrated to the xD which is painted in a vigorous Papaya Orange color. The kit is complemented by 20-inch alloy wheels in 245/30 R20 Yokohama rubber up front and 295/25 R20 in the rear.

As you can see in the detailed list after the jump, Scion’s SEMA-fied xD is filled with aftermarket components and accessories like the suspension and brake kits, Sparco racing seats and DVD player. Disappointingly, the supped Scion xD doesn’t feature any engines mods whatsoever. Too bad, we were just starting to like it. -Details and pics after the jump

Video: 2008 Cuda Concept Owner Shows Off His Car

We’ve been (painstakingly) trying to gather official info on the Cuda Concept and here’s what we came up with; a video with the owner of the 2008 Cuda Concept showing off his car at the “Mopars At Playboy Mansion” event that took place on October 19, 2007. -Video and details after the jump

The owner of the 2008 Cuda Concept is a guy named Curt (no, he didn’t reveal his surname). But Curt is not only the owner, he’s also the designer of the modern Cuda which is equipped with a 6.1-liter Hemi V8. Curt revealed that the Cuda Concept is dressed with a carbon fibre made body made by “Metalcrafters”, a Californian company that has built many Chrysler’s concepts, including the carbon fiber bodied Dodge Challenger Concept. According to Curt, the Cuda project could lead to a production version if all goes well.

For the record, the Cuda appears right in the beginning of the video but you’ll have to wait about 3 minutes to see details and of course, the owner of the concept talking about his creation. For the Playboy gals, you’ll have to wait a bit longer…

SEMA: 450 Hp 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX by SPT

We promised you that we would bring out more tweaked Imprezas from the 2007 SEMA Show, so here goes. Albeit this 2008 Impreza WRX 5-door looks pretty stock (apart from the Prodrive 18-inch GTI wheels and the decals that is), truth is this Subie has received some serious tuning under the hood. -Continued after the jump

Developed by Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT), the WRX’s 2.5-litre boxer unit features extensive engine tuning parts including; programmable engine management system, AIT and Map sensor, Harman Motive GT35R Turbo kit, STI 6-speed transmission and STI Twin Plate clutch. The result is a whopping 450 Hp, which should prove adequate for some serious fun.

We don’t have pictures of the interior but according to Subaru, SPT has equipped the 2008 WRX's cabin with a pair of Sparco bucket seats and harnesses, a full roll cage and custom gauges. Stay… tuned on Carscoop for more SEMA-fied Imprezas.

Caparo T1 Police Car Concept

UK’s Metropolitan Police has a teamed up with Brit supercar manufacturer, Caparo, to conceive a futuristic Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) that will be shown at MPH ’07 this weekend. The Caparo T1, powered by a 575 Hp 3.5-liter V8 engine, is one of the craziest supercars around capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) in just 5.0 seconds and onto a top speed of 200mph (320 km/h). Yes, we know that cops will never get a car like this but even the boyz in blue are entitled to a little pipe dreaming now and then. -One more high-res pic after the jump

SEMA: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan by SCC

Subaru (of America) displayed several customized 2008 Impreza models during the SEMA show, but this one caught our attention thanks to the cool custom flat-black paint job –don’t worry, we’ll be bringing you more supped up Imprezas shortly, that’s nicely offset by the white painted Prodrive 18-inch wheels. -Continued after the jump

Created by Sports Compact Car magazine (SSC), the 2008 Impreza WRX Sedan project features heaps of goodies including a carbon fiber body kit, an SPT cat-back exhaust system and turbo heat shield, Crawford Performance downpipe and I-Speed USA ECU. Stopping power comes from AP Racing front four-piston big brake kit, 13-inch two-piece front brake rotors and rear two-piston big brake kit with 13-inch rear brake rotors. Inside, the supped up Impreza WRX Sedan features a Pioneer Electronics stereo and Sparco seats.
