Talking about the 2010 Ford Mustang in the latest issue of Automotive News, Ford Motor's North American design director Peter Horbury said: “By cleverness in design, we’ve been able to make it look like the wheels are further out, further forward and further rearward. The center is the longest part of the next Mustang and the widest part of the car is in the middle. From there on, you can tuck it in and bring the apparent size down.” Hopefully, the Horbury-penned Stang will look nothing like our attempt to morph the current version into the 2010 model…
2010 Ford Mustang Will Look More Compact
It’s all about perception. While the revised Mustang that will go on sale in early 2009 as a 2010 model retains the same overall length and width with the current version, thanks to a few design tricks it will look more compact and therefore, more politically correct in times when terms like “MPG” and “eco-friendly” triumph over everything else.
